Update: new functionality ‘Movies / Series'
Since november 2013 there is an additional functionality available on Airplayclaim.nl.
The category 'Movies / Series' contains films, documentaries and series sorted by title, type, episode, episode title and medium of which we have no cue sheets in our possession. If you find a film or series of which you are the composer, lyricist or publisher, and you are in possession of a cue sheet, please provide us with all the necessary information.
If there is a correct match with the films/series and cue-sheet, a payment will be made.
What is Airplayclaim.nl?
Airplayclaim.nl is a website on which you can listen to unidentified music. This music was not recognised after it was aired on radio or TV. To recognise music on radio and TV, a fingerprint system is used. This technology offers an extremely high recognition rate, but a small percentage of the music is still not recognized. For instance, this could be music that a composer or lyricist has not yet registered with Buma/Stemra, or for which no sound file has been submitted. You can listen to this unidentified music on Airplayclaim.nl and claim works directly if you are one of the right holders.
How does Airplayclaim.nl work?
On Airplayclaim.nl, you will find the music sorted by station, transmission date and brand. If you find a work for which you are the composer, lyricist or publisher and you would like to claim this work, you can upload the original, music only, sound file via Airplayclaim.nl provided that you have already registered this work with us. The sound file will then be compared to the file on this website. If there is a correct match with the unidentified music and the registered work, a payment will be made. Of course, you first need to register your work, if you have not already done so. We reserve payments for unidentified works for three years. If there is still no claim for the work after three years, the unclaimed money will be subdivided among all Buma members.
What unidentified music is on Airplayclaim.nl?
You can find all unidentified music over the year 2020 up to and including 2022 with a distribution value of € 50,- or more on Airplayclaim.nl. Unidentified music and missing cue-sheet over the year 2015 will be available on Airplayclaim.nl after the Buma General Rights distribution in 2016.
